The UCLA Bruins are back in action today and tip-off is scheduled for 7:35 pm live from Viejas Arena in San Diego, California.
The Bruins are set to take on the San Diego Aztecs in the 2020-21 season opener. UCLA is 15-6 all-time against the Aztecs and they last met on December 1 in 2012.
UCLA returns eight of their 10 primary contributors from last season including all five starters from the back-half of the season. Combine that with the transfer and immediate eligibility of Kentucky-transfer Johnny Juzang, and you’ve got what is a potentially dangerous lineup of stars and future draft picks.
The Bruins are riding an incredible string of recent success, dating back to last season. They won 11 of their final 14 games and limited opponents to just 64.7 points per game during their run into what would have been the NCAA Tournament and Pac-12 Tournament.
No one wanted to face head coach Mick Cronin’s team in the 2020 postseason and they shouldn’t want to face this team in the 2020-21 either.
