The UCLA Bruins have their next opponent — and it’s the Stanford Cardinal.
The Pac-12 Conference announced all the Week 7 matchups after the final week of the ‘regular season’ concluded on Saturday night, announcing six matchups across all 12 teams. The Pac-12 Championship Game will take place on Friday night between USC and Washington while the rest of the conference will have Saturday games.
UCLA will face Stanford at 5:00 pm on ESPN2.
The other games are set to be:
Washington State at Utah at 10:30 AM
Oregon vs Colorado (at USC) at 6:00 PM
Arizona State @ Oregon State at 7:30 PM
Arizona @ Cal to be determined
The Oregon vs Colorado game is set to take place in Los Angeles as Colorado and Oregon are the replacements for the Pac-12 Championship Game for each of their respective divisions.
If USC can’t field enough players, then Colorado gets the spot while if Washington can’t field the requisite 53 scholarship student-athletes for the game, then the Ducks will slide in their place.
Cal and Arizona’s game is to be determined after Cal had to cancel their Week 6 matchup against Washington State due to a COVID-19 issue and contact tracing that was reportedly set to leave them with just two defensive linemen for the game.
Arizona State and Oregon State are the only other games to carry an ESPN broadcast with the UCLA-Stanford game as the others will air on the Fox family of networks.
Either way — the Bruins can go a game above .500 to end the season and await a potential bowl bid with a win against Stanford. And that’s something worth playing for. The Cardinal have won three in a row after starting 0-2.
