The UCLA Bruins are on the brink of history in the Chip Kelly era — just a game away from holding a season win-loss record above .500. Alright, sure, that’s not great history but it’s progress nonetheless.
The Bruins are taking on the Arizona State Sun Devils in Tempe, Arizona, in Week 5 of the 2020 Pac-12 football season. While the Bruins come in fresh off a dominant win over Arizona, the Sun Devils haven’t played since Week 1 against USC when they had a late-game collapse on defense and allowed the Trojans to win in dramatic fashion.
The Sun Devils are 0-1 and had their own share of COVID-19 troubles before and leading up to this point, but all signs point towards their outbreak being under control and them fielding at least a competent group on both sides of the ball.
UCLA holds a 21-14-1 overall record over the Sun Devils but the two teams have split the last 16 meetings (8-8).
