Well it didn’t take long for Darnay Holmes to hear his name called on Saturday, and it didn’t take much longer for the second UCLA Bruin standout to hear his name right behind him.

Running back Joshua Kelley followed Holmes’ 110th selection just two picks later, landing with the Los Angeles Chargers with the 112th overall selection.

Kelley brings with him an illustrious mark on the UCLA record book with back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons as well as starting experience in major college football dating back to his time at UC Davis as well.

He’s a home-run threat and should complement Austin Ekeler nicely in the Chargers backfield. No more Melvin Gordon and the Chargers certainly needed some backfield assistance so it makes sense but it’s certainly going to be a fun battle in camp to see who gets the majority of the snaps and carries later this fall.

Still, the Chargers got themselves a GREAT one.

What grade would you give the Chargers’ selection of Kelley in the fourth round?

The best part about this selection — we don’t have to go that far to see him play at the next level!

Congrats, Joshua!
