Osa Odighizuwa cracks top 100 NFL prospects for 2021 NFL Draft

Odighizuwa checked in at No. 92 overall on Chris Trapasso’s big board of the top 100 players

The 2020 NFL Draft is barely over but we’re already looking ahead to next April and the 2021 NFL Draft set to take place in Cleveland, Ohio.

With the eyes moving forward, the race to get the best ‘big board’ of top players for next year’s draft class has begun.

Chris Trapasso of CBSSports handed out his top 100 players for the 2021 NFL Draft, ahead of the 2020 season, with UCLA Bruins DT Osa Odighizuwa making the list.

Odighizuwa cracked the list at No. 92 overall and 10th-best interior defensive lineman. He finished the 2019 season with several flashes of brilliance including a dominant game against Stanford in Week 8.

He was unblockable down the stretch it seemed as he hit his stride from the Stanford game on, recording multiple pressures in all but one of the final seven games. He was also pretty dominant in run defense during those outings as well and shored up his tackling.

At 6’2, 279, he’ll have to rely on his quickness and athleticism at the next level but it’s an impressive start to the offseason for Odighizuwa, who the rest of the country probably hasn’t picked up on yet.

Kudos to you, Chris, for spotting this gem on the interior over here.

There is plenty of Pac-12 influence on Trapasso’s top 100 as well and crosstown rival USC put two on the list including their own interior defensive lineman Jay Tufele. Oregon’s Penei Sewell found himself at No. 3 on the list, behind Trevor Lawrence and Justin Fields, who are dominating all talk of the 2021 draft at this time.
