The UCLA Bruins athletic programs are certainly among the best in the nation across a multitude of sports. When the NCAA unveiled their annual Academic Progress Rates (APR) this past week, it was clear that the Bruins were also among the top athletic programs in the classroom as well.

Three programs scored a perfect 1,000 APR and were awarded with the APR Public Recognition Award). Those programs were women’s beach volleyball, women’s golf and men’s cross country.

But this isn’t the first time that this has happened for either of those programs. In fact, this now marks the 11th-straight season for the women’s golf team to have earned a perfect APR score and the Public Recognition Award. It marks the fourth straight year for the women’s beach volleyball program and the men’s cross country program it’s third straight.

Every athletic program at UCLA scored a mark above the 930 qualifying score that the NCAA has started to use as a threshold for possible penalties. Even the men’s basketball program lifted their four-year rolling average with a great score this past academic year.

The APR was established by the NCAA in an attempt to monitor athletic programs, keeping them accountable on the academics side. It’s score is derived by the academic standing of each athlete on scholarship. Each athlete who stays in school and each athlete who remains academically eligible earns one point and a team’s total points are divided by points possible and multiplied by 1,000.

The following were the scores for each team:

Women’s Beach Volleyball: 1,000
Women’s Golf: 1,000
Men’s Cross Country: 1,000
Women’s Water Polo: 997
