Meet new UCLA DB Qwuantrezz Knight

The former Kent State player has transferred to the west coast and joins the Bruins

Qwuantrezz Knight may be on his third team in his collegiate career but that is in no way a discredit to him. Knight officially became a member of the UCLA Bruins after spending the 2019 season with the Kent State Golden Flashes and the 2016 and 2017 seasons with the Maryland Terrapins.

Last season, Knight played in 11 games and finished fourth on the team at Kent State with a total of 74 tackles. From his strong safety position, he was frequently found around or behind the line of scrimmage and actually led the Golden Flashes with 10.5 tackles for loss.

He went on to be the team’s MVP of their bowl game against Utah State when he racked up six total tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss and a sack.

He played sparingly at Maryland but still managed to showcase his terrific skills in the run game as well as his sound tackling. He had four pass breakups a season ago and did his best at limiting big plays in coverage to boot.

Knight joins a talented and experienced UCLA secondary but has every bit of talent to make contributions in run defense, in coverage and if he gets the chance to blitz.

Welcome to the team, Qwuantrezz!
