What’s Bruin, 8/30: Jim Mora makes the news in LA

Mora has listed his Manhattan Beach home for a paltry $12M

The UCLA Bruins are looking to the future at this stage. Though they’ve returned to practice in a limited capacity, gotten rid of Chianti Dan and all but rid themselves of former bad athletic department decisions, former head coach Jim Mora Jr. has somehow made the news with UCLA in his title.

As if the monetary issues at hand from the previous regime weren’t tough enough to swallow, and say what you will about the hiring, contract and subsequent firing after the 2017 USC game, when the LA Times posts a story with the title “Former UCLA Football coach Jim Mora lists his home for sale” hits the web — you have to click.

And Mora’s home can be yours for just $11.995 million dollars!

A gated courtyard marks the entrance to the six-bedroom, 6.5-bathroom house. Inside, the home has riffs on contemporary and Balinese styling — rich mahogany frames bands of floor-to-ceiling windows and clerestories. The dark woodwork is repeated on the ceilings as well as the exterior gates and louvered screen.

There’s a 16-foot island in the kitchen. There’s a lot of windows.

There’s an ocean-view family room. A built-in barbeque.

I mean — just check it out.
