What a wild ride 2020 was for us all. In so many ways, the world changed and the life as we knew was altered forever. Some of us saw some troubles, all of us saw tribulations.
Yet throughout it all, we persevered and moved on into 2021! Here we are!
And with 2021’s arrival came the expected month in which my wife would be giving birth to our second child — and that day happens to be today! We’re off to the hospital to deliver our second and add another one to our already-crazy Family of Three. Today, we become a Family of Four!
I wanted to take the time and thank everyone here on Bruins Nation for their continued support over the past few months. I know AB5 wasn’t kind to many people but the best part about AB5 is the fact that, though our site changed a ton, I got to meet and interact with so many of you here.
I thank you for your understanding, I thank you for your readership, and most of all, I thank you for sticking with me here on BN through it all. It’s not the site you all once knew, but it’s still a site that I am proud of and proud to continue to work towards getting content, stories and original pieces out for you all to read and interact with. And most of all, I am proud of what it has become and what has maintained here, despite a dip in available man-hours to produce content for.
So, speaking of man-hours. Yeah, those will be in incredibly short supply going forward now that we’re adding a newborn to the mix with a 2-year-old. I’ll be around, but I won’t be here, per se. I’ll be watching the news from afar, but I won’t be writing it up for a few weeks.
That being said, be on the lookout for some new authors for a bit, to cover the best, biggest stories. I encourage you all to participate in the fan posts section so we can get some day-to-day grind out there but as far as big picture and daily content, well that’s going away for a bit, unfortunately.
Like I said, I’ll be around, but I won’t be here. It’s almost as if being a hands-on father is a full-time job nowadays. But damnit, a job I’m so happy to do.
So, until then, I’ll be watching and checking in, but I’ll have my hands full and hopefully we’ll have some new voices in here to cheer you up in the downtime.
Don’t fret, I’ll be back before March Madness begins and will absolutely, comprehensively be covering the Pac-12 Tournament and NCAA Tournament as well as the 2021 NFL Combine and NFL Draft.
So, as I go to change my life forever (AHHHH), I close with thanking you all again — I truly appreciate it. I do what I do for you, and I wouldn’t change that at all.
Thanks — and I’ll see ya down the road!
