This will certainly make for some quality television entertainment.
After coming up short in the Pac-12 tournament, the UCLA Bruins will be glued to the television sets on Sunday afternoon as they await their fate. The Bruins are by no means completely knocked out of a getting a bid, but winning the conference championship would have guaranteed themselves a spot in the big dance.
Now, they have to wait and see if they earn a spot.
According to ESPN’s Joe Lunardi, UCLA is one of the last four byes, according to his bracketology article from Saturday morning. That’s definitely an encouraging sign, but as we’ve seen every year, a lot can change and happen in the final few days of conference championship week.
As of right now, it looks like they’ll sneak their way in. However, it still looks like it’ll come down to the wire.
