The UCLA Bruins are back in action at the NCAA Tournament when they take on the Alabama Crimson Tide in the Sweet 16.
Johnny Juzang had 27 points and five rebounds, while Jules Bernard chipped in with 16 in the Bruins’ 73-62 win over BYU. Mick Cronin’s team held the Cougars to just three-of-17 shooting from beyond the arc.
Alabama is coming off a 96-77 win over Maryland in the Round of 32. UCLA will have its hands full with the Crimson Tide’s backcourt. Jaden Shackelford leads Alabama in scoring at 14.3 points per game.
If the Bruins can pull off the upset, they will be back in the Elite Eight for the first time since 2008, when Ben Howland led the program to the Final Four for the third consecutive year.
