A short time ago, Jason McIntyre of Fox Sports Radio and Fox Sports 1 tweeted:
Steve Alford’s 6-year run at UCLA might end today. If certain influential people out here in LA have their way, I’m told Steve Alford will be bought out today.

His choice of words here is curious. Why say UCLA Bruins head coach Steve Alford will be bought out instead of saying he will be fired. The buyout is a given. It’s contractual.
If he gets “bought out,” he will be fired.
Of course, until UCLA announces it, it is not official.
More as it develops....
Go Bruins! Fire Alford!
