How To Watch Hawai’i Rainbow Warriors at UCLA Bruins Football: Game Time, TV Schedule, Radio and More

Fresh off their comeback win against Texas A&M, the UCLA Bruins host the Hawai’i Rainbow Warriors at the Rose Bowl today at 2:00 pm PT.

The Bruins host their second home game of the season today when they welcome the Hawai’i Rainbow Warriors to the Rose Bowl. On paper, this is the one game of the year that UCLA “should” win as the advanced stats for this game give the Bruins an 89% chance to win this game.

Keys to the Game

While UCLA managed to pull off the second biggest comeback in FBS history, there were still a lot of problems with the offense in the first half. Additionally, the Hawai’i defense is strongest upfront. So, it would seem like the keys to this week’s game should be the same as last week’s. Of course, this time, the Bruins need to execute for a full sixty minutes.

  1. Keep Josh Rosen upright. The offensive line needs to execute in order for the Bruins to win today and that starts by preventing the defensive linemen from sacking the Bruin quarterback.
  2. Establish the running game by controlling the line of scrimmage. As gbruin is fond of saying, “Line wins games.” So, after keeping Josh Rosen upright, their second goal and the second key to the game has to be controlling the line of scrimmage in order to open holes for Bolu Olorunfunmi and the rest of the running backs to run through.
  3. Keep the punter off the field. Repeat after me: “Punt the ball five times or less.” Last week, we punted four times in the first half, but just once in the second half. This should be a season-long goal here, because, for the most part, it means that they are moving the ball well enough to win the game and the best defense is, after all, a good offense.
