WATCH: SNL Weekend Update Spoofs UCLA Basketball Dad LaVar Ball Again

During his “appearance,” the character, played by Kenan Thompson, introduced LiAngelo’s new shoe.

Saturday Night Live

Everybody’s favorite UCLA Bruins basketball dad made his second “appearance” on Saturday Night Live’s Weekend Update last night.

Played again by Kenan Thompson, LaVar Ball “discussed” Lonzo Ball’s performance for the Lakers, LiAngelo Ball’s arrest in China and LaMelo Ball’s home schooling.

Thompson’s Ball character also “debuted” LiAngelo Ball’s “new shoe”, dubbed by Thompson as the LiAngelo Oh Twenties, which sells for $700,000 each because they come “loaded with power laces, a Bose 24-speaker sound system and the world’s finest chicken rotisserie cooker.” And, supposedly, you can only but one shoe at a time, “never a pair” as was explained to WU Host Michael Che.

It was certainly another amusing skit poking fun at LaVar. In fact, Thompson actually couldn’t contain himself and started laughing mid-skit.

Here’s the full video of LaVar’s second appearance on Weekend Update.

Something tells me that we’re going to be seeing more of LaVar in the coming weeks, giving us more to laugh at.

Go Bruins!
