Bruin Bites: Cross Country Teams Head to Pac-12 Championship in Tucson

No Bruin football this weekend, perhaps a bit of a relief to some, but there are plenty of other UCLA sports and storylines to follow this weekend.

Cross Country

The men’s and women’s cross country teams head to Tucson this morning, to compete for the Pac-12 Championship. The men’s team is ranked 10th nationally, while the women’s team enters this weekend’s event ranked #23.

Ah right, that sport.

Over at ESPN, Kyle Bonagura asks, "Will UCLA abandon the run for the rest of the season?" We’re wondering the same thing.

The L.A. Times has a nice piece on Takkarist McKinley.

Item #32 of this week’s Forde-Yard Dash will be of interest to UCLA fans, but if you are prone to depression, either pop a Xanax before reading, or move on to happier subjects.

This is not specifically about UCLA, but the folks at Barking Carnival wrote an interesting piece about how or if uptempo offenses hurt a team’s defense, something Bruin fans were wondering after the Utah game.
