Tonight, the UCLA Bruins play their final game of the 2019 season when they host the UC Berkeley Golden Bears. Of course, that means that tonight’s game is Senior Night
UCLA will honor the 13 players who will be playing in their final game in pregame festivities. Of course, the big question on the minds of Bruin fans is likely to be: Will tonight’s game be Chip Kelly’s final game in Westwood or are the rumors of his possible departure wishful thinking made up by David Dunn, Kelly’s agent?
Let’s look at the keys to tonight’s game.
Keys to the Game
1. Get Another Big Game From Joshua Kelley.
Joshua Kelley ran for 157 yards against the Bears in Berkeley. But, the UC Berkeley defense is ranked 29th in the nation in run defense. In order for UCLA to be successful today, the Bruins need to establish an effective ground game.
2. Get a Big Day Through the Air.
With the Bears’ run defense being as good as it is, the Bruins may need to throw the ball more in order to win today.
3. Stop Chase Garbers.
For the Bears to succeed, Chase Garbers is going to have to have a big day throwing the ball. If UCLA can apply pressure to Garbers and limit the UC Berkeley passing game, the Bruins should win easily, but that’s a big “if.”
