The UCLA Bruins’ winning streak may have been snapped on Saturday when they lost to their crosstown rival Southern Cal Trojans, but that doesn’t mean that fan confidence in the direction of the Bruin basketball program changed much this week.
In fact, it slipped just 2% from 99% to 97% in this week’s FanPulse fan confidence poll. That’s still nearly perfect and, considering that the streak-ending loss came against Southern Cal, it’s still higher than most of us would have predicted it would be when the team’s winning streak finally ended.
Let’s look at the history of the poll since the start of the season:

In other news, fans nationwide were asked which conference tournament will be the best and, not surprisingly, the Big Ten tournament was selected. It was the overwhelming choice with 36%. The ACC tournament was second with 21% and the Pac-12 tournament was third with 11%, just edging out both the SEC tournament and the Big 12 tournament which each received 10% of the overall vote. Rounding out the rest of the choices were the Big East tournament with 6% and the AAC with just 2%. “Other” received 4% of the vote.
You can still sign up to participate in the SB Nation/Bruins Nation Fan Pulse for baskeball season. While there isn’t a basketball top 25 poll, you can voice your opinion on the direction of the UCLA basketball program!
Are you in the 3% who still voted that they aren’t confident in the direction of the UCLA basketball program under Mick Cronin? If so, please explain why not.
