When we looked at the Bruins Nation FanPulse from last week’s poll earlier this week, 98% of Bruin fans were confident in the direction of the UCLA Bruins men’s basketball program.
Then, following last weekend’s sweep of the Arizona schools, the confidence of Bruin fans grew again. This week, it climbed to 99%.
But, I still don’t get how any Bruin fan isn’t happy with the direction of the program. UCLA has won seven in a row. The team is in first place in Pac-12, albeit they are tied with the Oregon Ducks after the Ducks won last night. They are guaranteed to finish no lower than second in the regular season standings.
Heck, it even appears that the Bruins are off the bubble with respect to the NCAA Tournament.
Yet, somehow, some way some Bruin fans are still not satisfied by this and aren’t confident in the direction of the program?!?
Let’s look at the history of the poll since the start of the season:

In other news, fans nationwide were asked which coach deserved to be named Coach of the Year. Frankly, I think Mick Cronin has solidified himself as the Pac-12 Coach of the Year and he’d be my pick for national coach of the year. But, he wasn’t an option in this poll. So, I voted for “Other” which came in second with 18% behind Dayton’s Anthony Grant who got 20% of the vote.
Scott Drew of Baylor received 17% while Brian Dutcher of San Diego State got 15% and Leonard Hamilton was picked by 13%. All other options received fewer than 5% each.
You can still sign up to participate in the SB Nation/Bruins Nation Fan Pulse for baskeball season. While there isn’t a basketball top 25 poll, you can voice your opinion on the direction of the UCLA basketball program!
Voting for this week’s poll will begin this morning when this week’s FanPulse surveys are sent out. Will Bruin fan confidence finally hit the elusive 100% after UCLA swept the Arizona schools?
Are you in the 1% who still voted that they aren’t confident in the direction of the UCLA basketball program under Mick Cronin? If so, please explain why not.
