Easley and Ogden on FWAA's 75th Anniversary All American Team

The Football Writer's Association of America, created in 1941, has named a 75th Anniversary All American team, celebrating the association's All-America teams from near the end of World War II through the 2014 season. Two UCLA Bruins, Kenny Easley and Jonathan Ogden, made the cut.  Only 75 players were selected, and both Easley and Ogden earned second team honors. Check out the FWAA's press release and UCLA Athletics' story on Easley's and Ogden's inclusion on the team. Congratulations to Kenny and Jonathan on this great honor!

Time and Television Announced for UCLA v. Kentucky Hoops

The time and television details for the December 3rd clash between the UCLA Bruins basketball team and John Calipari's band of merry mercenaries University of Kentucky Wildcats have been set.  The Thursday night game will tip off at Pauley Pavillion at 6 PT, and will be televised on ESPN. Here is the article from UCLA Athletics' official site. Plan ahead accordingly. No excuses for not packing Pauley to the banners for this one. Students, it is "dead week," so take a break from studying for finals. Alums in L.A., take a half day off. Tell your boss you need to do some holiday shopping. Beat the traffic to Pauley. Beat the 'Cats!

Wrap Up of Day 9 of Training Camp - Rosen Gets An Earful

The UCLA football coaching staff still has not named a starter at quarterback. We may have gotten a glimpse why, as Head Coach Jim L. Mora tore into Josh Rosen toward the end of the second of two practices yesterday for what was perceived to be lackadaisical play. Check out our own gbruin's excellent write up of yesterday's practice for more details on this development. Is this a good development, i.e., will it motivate Josh? Or will it reduce his confidence? How will Josh bounce back today?

Training Camp - Day 10

Day 10 of Training Camp in San Bernardino kicks off at 11:15 a.m.  We are two weeks away from college football and 16 days from the September 5th clash against the University of Virginia.  It should be a beautiful day for practice today, with early morning cloudiness yielding to sunny skies and mid-day temperatures in the 80s.

This is your open thread for today's practice. If you are able to make it out to San Bernardino, please share your observations and thoughts here or, if you have extended thoughts or observations, please put them in a Fanpost. You can tweet pictures to us @Bruinnation, write a Fanpost with words and/or photos/video, or share them in the open thread

Go Bruins!
