The UCLA Bruins FanPulse football confidence poll remained near last week’s season high, but dipped slightly during the Bruins’ second bye week. It slipped from 71.7% to 69.8%.

The Bruins Nation FanPulse football confidence poll dipped a little during the Bruins’ bye week.

Meanwhile, some Bruin fans weren’t satisfied with a come-from-behind win over Long Beach State as the UCLA Bruins FanPulse basketball confidence poll fell 2.7% from 91.4% to 88.7%.

The Bruins Nation FanPulse is a survey of more than 100 Bruins Nation readers who have agreed to take a weekly survey on college football. I want to encourage our readers to have their voice heard on a weekly basis by signing up to be a part of the FanPulse.

Of course, the question about the direction of the football and basketball programs are just part of this week’s FanPulse. Another part is the Top 25 where fans are asked to rank the top 25 college football teams.

This week, we have the eleventh Bruins Nation Top 25 football poll along with the SB Nation national Top 25 poll. After the LSU Tigers defeated the Alabama Crimson Tide on Saturday, the Tigers held onto the top spot while the Crimson Tide fell from second to fourth behind the #2 Ohio State Buckeyes and the #3 Clemson Tigers.

Meanwhile, the Minnesota Golden Gophers’ win over the Penn State Nittany Lions allowed the Georgia Bulldogs to move up to #5 while the undefeated Baylor Bears climbed to #6. The Golden Gophers got screwed in both polls as the only rose to #8 in the BN poll and #7 in the SB Nation national poll.

The Utah Utes and the Oregon Ducks remain the only Pac-12 schools in each poll. Oregon gets more respect from the BN poll where they are ranked ninth. The Ducks are ranked 11th in the SB Nation poll. Meanwhile, Bruin fans have shown some respect to the Utah Utes by ranking them 10th while the national poll has the Utes ranked 12th.

Let’s look at both polls.
