What a difference a week makes! After two weeks where Bruin fan confidence was under 15%, almost half of UCLA Bruins fans now believe the program is moving in the right direction.
We’ve frequently discussed the phenomenon known as Battered Bruin Syndrome here at Bruins Nation and, while this week’s fan confidence percentage may still reflect that, it seems that fans have a renewed sense of hope after UCLA defeated Washington State 67-63 on Saturday night.

The Bruins Nation FanPulse is a survey of more than 100 Bruins Nation readers who have agreed to take a weekly survey on college football. I want to encourage our readers to have their voice heard on a weekly basis by signing up to be a part of the FanPulse.
Of course, the question about the direction of the program is just one part of this week’s FanPulse. The other part is the Top 25 where fans are asked to rank the top 25 college football teams.
So, this week, we have the fourth Bruins Nation Top 25 poll along with the SB Nation national Top 25 poll. Overall, Bruin fans didn’t reward the Wisconsin Badgers for beating the Michigan Wolverines as much as fans nationally and they didn’t punish the Notre Dame Fighting Irish for their loss to the Georgia Bulldogs as much either. Bruin fans ranked the Washington Huskies, a fellow Pac-12 school, higher than the national poll did, while they ranked Southern Cal a little lower.
Let’s take a look at both polls.
