How To Watch UCLA Bruins at Utah Utes Football: Game Time, TV Schedule, Radio and More

The Bruins travel to Salt Lake City to play the Utes tonight.

Tonight, the UCLA Bruins visit Salt Lake City and the Utah Utes in a Pac-12 Conference matchup.

Utah is a team that has been struggling lately. After starting off the season 4-0, they’ve lost their last four games to Stanford, Southern Cal, Arizona State and Oregon, respectively. Despite that, UCLA enters the game as a 6.5 point underdog.

There’s little doubt that Rice-Eccles Stadium is a tough place to play. The Utes have sold out 48 straight games and expect tonight to be their 49th. It is Utah’s 10th annual Blackout game. Look at the stands tonight to see the right way to do that sort of thing.

Keys to the Game

1. Stop Zach Moss. The Bruin defense has been turning Pac-12 running backs into rushing machines. So far this season, Moss has gained a net total of 587 yards rushing. Even though the Utes have a new offensive coordinator and a new running backs coach, expect Kyle Whittingham and the Utes offensive coaches to try to exploit the Bruin defense by rushing the ball a lot. After all, that’s what the Utes did last season with Joe Williams at the Rose Bowl with much success. But stopping him is going to be tough due to the elevation in Salt Lake and the fact that the Bruins haven’t looked like a well-conditioned football team at all this season.

2. Make offensive plays early, often, and late. That may be tough as it’s unknown whether Josh Rosen will be able to play. If Rosen can’t go, Devon Modster will get his first start in one of the toughest places to play in the Pac-12. Regardless of who gets the start, UCLA needs to get on the board early, often and late as UCLA-Utah games have frequently been shootouts that come down to the final possession.

3. Win the Takeaway Game. Utah is eighth in the nation in turnovers with 10 interceptions and 9 fumble recoveries. That’s an average of 2.375 turnovers per game. If UCLA wants to win tonight, they have to avoid turning the ball over and the Bruin defense needs to generate a few turnovers themselves.
