How important is tonight’s game?
In the big picture, I don’t think it means as much as it could. If UCLA breaks Stanford’s winning streak, it really won’t be that big of a deal because Stanford isn’t playing like a very good football team right now. But, if UCLA loses again to the Cardinal, the game could become a very big deal.
The Bruins aren’t actually playing very good football either. Well, they have been on offense, but the defense has been atrocious in all three games. They’ve had to rely on the offense saving the day twice and, while the offense played reasonably well last week, it wasn’t to get past Memphis.
The one thing I expect tonight is that Stanford will be prepared and the other thing I expect is that David Shaw and Jim Mora will be in a race to see who can get badly outcoached by the other.
Game Time Weather Forecast
The weather forecast looks good for tonight’s game. It should be clear and a cool 65 degrees at kickoff.
By halftime, look for the temperature to drop into the low 60s and it could drop a few more degrees in the second half.
