#25 Cincinnati Bearcats at UCLA Bruins Game Thread

The Bruins face another tough test when they host the Bearcats.

The UCLA Bruins still have not beaten a team with a winning record.

Digest that for a moment.

Last week, UCLA started a four-game stretch which promised to test this year’s team as it was the toughest part of the non-conference schedule. When the Bruins went on the road to play Michigan, they wilted. They had a 15-point lead evaporate into an overtime loss.

While UCLA returns home today, it doesn’t get any easier as they welcome #25 Cincinnati to Pauley Pavilion. The Bearcats should provide another tough game for the Bruins.

Last year, the teams met in the NCAA Tournament and the Bruins prevailed. But, Lonzo Ball, TJ Leaf and Bryce Alford are gone and the new-look Bruins have yet to make a statement. Today would be a good time to do so.

UCLA needs to avoid another late meltdown while also avoiding needing to play catch-up themselves. Last season, the Bearcats were 27-2 when leading at halftime. While one of their only two losses was against UCLA, the Bruins might become the Bearcats latest victim if UCLA has trouble taking the lead and keeping it.
