The Washington State Cougars have actually beaten some good teams this year. So far this season, the Cougs have beaten St. Joseph’s, San Diego State, and then-#21 St. Mary’s.
So don’t be surprised if Wazzou gives the Bruins a tough game at home tonight.
Hopefully, last weekend’s win against the Kentucky Wildcats allows UCLA to turn a corner on the season. But, also don’t be surprised if UCLA takes a step back.
That just seems to happen under Steve Alford.
It’s happened before and, the odds are, it will happen again. On paper, you wouldn’t expect Washington State to be a good basketball team. They were one of the worst teams in the Pac-12 last season, but they do return ten guys from last season.
As we’ve been mentioning, there are two big keys for the Bruins. The first is to feed Thomas Welsh. The second is to get Aaron Holiday some rest in the second half.
If that can happen, the Bruins should win.
