Southern Utah Thunderbirds at UCLA Bruins Game Thread

Tonight, the UCLA Bruins meet the Southern Utah Thunderbirds for the first time at 8 pm in Pauley Pavilion. This game is a part of an extension of the Maui Jim Maui Invitational in Hawai’i which is being referred as “Maui on the Mainland.”

As DCBruins pointed out, Southern Utah is not a conventional team. Don’t look for them to try to start hitting a bunch of threes. Instead, look for them to come inside.

The one thing UCLA cannot do tonight is underestimate the Thunderbirds. If they do, look for the Bruins to need another second half comeback to win tonight. If they don’t underestimate Southern Utah, they should win buzzer-to-buzzer.
