Both the Bruins and Southern Cal enter tonight’s game with identical records both overall and in the Pac-12. At this point in the season, pretty much every game is a must-win game and tonight’s game is no exception.
As I mentioned earlier today in out preview of the game, these two teams are tied for fifth in the Pac-12. That means tonight’s winner will have sole possession of fifth place with two games to play for sure and, with a little help, could be tied for either fourth or even third place by the end of this week’s games.
But, the bottom line here is simple. If the Bruins can win this game, they could finish the season in the coveted top four of the conference standings. If they don’t, they will likely be eliminated from finishing in the top four.
Can the Bruins extend their winning streak to three heading into the final week of the regular season? We’ll find out over the next few hours.
