This afternoon, the UCLA men’s basketball team faces their toughest remaining challenge in the regular season when they play Colorado. Not only is today’s game being played at a high altitude, but the Buffs are currently in first place in the Pac-12 with a 9-4 conference record. Tip-off is set for 1 pm PT.
Not only are the Buffaloes in first place in the conference standings, they have also been very tough to beat at home this season. Colorado has a 13-2 home record this season.
So, despite the fact that the Bruins beat the Buffs in Pauley at the end of last month, today’s game certainly won’t be an easy game. Heck, last month’s game at home wasn’t exactly an easy one.
Of course, the Bruins have really gotten into a good defensive groove especially over the past four games. In fact, the team has consistently been playing fantastic defense and, if they are able to do so again today, they should come out ahead.
The magic number, of course, remains 73. UCLA still hasn’t lost a game in which they’ve held they held their opponents to fewer than 73 points. So, if they can do that again, look for another Bruin win.
Just don’t be surprised, though, if 40 minutes is not enough to decide today’s game.
