UCLA Men’s Soccer to Battle Oregon State Today After Win Streak Snapped

Joab Santoyo picked up a red card with the score still 0-0 and UCLA’s four-game winning streak came to an end when the Bruins lost to the Huskies, 2-0, on Thursday.

This afternoon, the UCLA men’s soccer team visits the Oregon State Beavers at 2 pm PT. This game will be televised live on Pac-12 Network Oregon and delayed until 3 pm PT on Pac-12 Network Los Angeles.

Last Time Out

Thursday night, Joab Santoyo picked up a red card in the 52nd minute against Washington which left the Bruins short a man for the remainder of the game. Prior to the red card, the teams were scoreless.

While the Bruins were able to keep the Huskies off the scoreboard for more than 20 minutes, Washington finally broke through in the 74th minute and again in the 77th minute en route to a 2-0 win.

Oregon State

When UCLA and Oregon State met in Westwood on October 7th, the Bruins prevailed with a 1-0 win, highlighted by a Kike Poleo goal in the 79th minute.

But the Beavers have been tough at home. They haven’t lost a conference game at home so far this season.

So look for today’s game to be another low-scoring battle.

Outlook

This game is going to be another low-scoring affair. I won’t be surprised if this game finishes 1-0, 1-1 or even 0-0.

In fact, I’m going to predict that this one finishes as a scoreless draw.

This is your UCLA men’s soccer vs. Oregon State open thread.

Go Bruins!!
