On Thursday, the UCLA men’s soccer team lost a tough 1-0 game to the #1 Washington Huskies. Today, the Bruins will host the Oregon State Beavers at 3 pm PT. The game will air on Pac-12 Networks National, Los Angeles, and Oregon.
Last Time Out
The Bruins faced the top-ranked Washington Huskies. Unfortunately, UCLA was unable to score against the Huskies. While Bruin goalkeeper Justin Garces was able to hold Washington scoreless in the first half, he ended up giving up a goal in the 66th minute.
That proved to be enough for the Huskies who were able to prevent the Bruins from scoring an equalizer.
Oregon State Beavers
The Bruins lost the first meeting between the teams last month in Corvallis, 2-0. Since they played in Corvallis, the Beavers have beaten San Diego State twice including a 1-0 overtime win on Thursday. They’ve also lost to UC Berkeley and Washington while tying Stanford.
Overall, I don’t think the Bruins have the firepower to win this game. That said, I do think it will be closer than when the teams played last month. I’m predicting a 2-1 OSU win in this one.
This is your UCLA vs. Oregon State men’s soccer open thread.
Go Bruins!!
