This afternoon, the UCLA Men’s Water Polo team will host San Jose State at 3:30 pm and Whittier College at 5 pm as the team plays its final two home games of the 2016 season. Of course, because it’s the final home games of the season, UCLA will honor the senior class.
This year’s senior class is the winningest class in UCLA history. These guys have gone 109-7 over the course of four years, which is a .940 winning percentage. This year’s seniors are: Garrett Danner, Chancellor Ramirez, Alec Zwaneveld, Ryder Roberts, Joey Fuentes, Gordon Marshall, Patrick Woepse, and Patrick Fellner.
Of course, the season isn’t quite over yet. After today, there is still a game against Southern Cal followed by the MPSF Tournament , which UCLA will host, and the NCAA Championship, which UC Berkeley will host this year.
After last weekend’s win over Stanford, UCLA’s winning streak now stands at 55 games and the Bruins are 22-0 so far this season.
The last time UCLA met today’s two teams was last year. The Bruins defeated San Jose State 10-0 on October 18, 2015 and beat Whittier 16-4 on September 13, 2015. UCLA is 9-1 all-time against the Spartans and 4-0 against the Poets.
