Three weeks ago, the UCLA men’s water polo team traveled across town to face Southern Cal for the first time this season. The Bruins came out on the short side of that game as the Trojans won, 12-11. That game went down to the wire but Southern Cal got their game-winning goal with just 19 seconds left.
Then, on Sunday, November 18th, the teams met again in the Third Place Game of the MPSF Tournament, which was also played across town. The Bruins avenged their previous loss with a 7-4 win which helped get the team in the NCAA Tournament.
Today, the Bruins and the Trojans will square off one final time in 2018 with a berth in tomorrow’s National Championship Game at stake. Unlike the first two meetings between these teams, today’s game will be played on neutral ground at the Avery Aquatics Center on the campus of Stanford. It will begin at 5 pm PT. While the game won’t be televised, it will be streamed. A link for the NCAA stream is located in the sidebar above.
Go Bruins!!! Bring home NC #117!!!
