Oregon Ducks and UCLA Bruins Tied 14-14 at Half

The Bruins had an up and down first half, showing progress on offense but the same issues on defense. Jaelan Phillips returned to the field today, and made a big play on third down about midway through the second quarter to remind the Ducks what a force he is. Oregon was gifted too many yards due to stupid Bruin penalties, but UCLA was able to capitalize on a Duck turnover in the first quarter. We are going into the locker room tied, but could have done a lot more on offense at the end of the second quarter.

The Pac-12 Network announcers for today’s game are Roxy Bernstein and Anthony Herron, the same guys who called last weekend’s desert disaster. But, the game was the story not how the announcers were mispronouncing player names like it was the previous two weeks with ESPN’s Mark Jones and Rod Gilmore. So, that’s the good news.
