UCLA Softball Beats Utah With 3-run Sixth Inning

After going scoreless for five innings, UCLA finally found its bats in the bottom of the sixth to beat the Utes.

Tonight, the UCLA softball team takes on the Utah Utes in the second game of their three-game series at 6 pm PT.

Last Time Out

Rachel Garcia preserved her perfect 19-0 record and 0.64 ERA last night when UCLA shutout Utah. Garcia struck out seven and only allowed two hits.

The Bruins had a rare stretch of five scoreless innings last evening, but finally opened up scoring in the sixth to win 3-0.

Briana Perez led off the bottom of the sixth with a much needed homer to right field, finally putting a run on the board in this one. Aaliyah Jordan was able to get on base on a one-out fielder’s choice and later scored on a two-run homer by Colleen Sullivan to center, making the score 3-0, UCLA, and that’s how this one ended.
