Last night’s softball game still has us all reeling. So, today’s edition of Headlines in the UCLA Twitterverse is dedicated to our Bruins that brought home #118.
One of the topics that was floating around here and there was avenging the gymnastics loss to Oklahoma in the NCAA championship in April. In case you were wondering, none other than Miss Val made the trip to Oklahoma City to cheer on the softball team:

In addition to Miss Val, there has been a lot of alumni support for this team, often referred to as the “Bruin Bubble”—that group of undying, relentless, diehard friends, family, and alumni that stick with the Four Letters through thick and thin. Jason Kersey of The Athletic out of Oklahoma City shares remarks from Jen Schroeder, a former UCLA catcher:

Former head coach Sue Enquist is one of those alums offering undying support:
I love you @Coach_Inouye-thanks for allowing the bubble to jump on the OKC train - What a ride! I’m so so so so happy for you! I love you! #champdna #bubblestrong pic.twitter.com/Wbr5Sc2Ozg

Fomer UCLA football player and current Atlanta Falcon Takkarist McKinley tweeted his support:

Of course, you can’t have a softball championship without a dogpile:

The Los Angeles Dodgers also offered their congratulations:
Walk it off, @UCLASoftball! Congratulations on winning the Women's College World Series! We hope your victory tour makes a stop at Dodger Stadium. https://t.co/BTfrZozxzp

And, so did our new men’s basketball coach Mick Cronin:
WOW. What an incredible run for the @UCLASoftball team!

Congrats to everyone with the Bruins’ softball program & to Coach Inouye-Perez on winning the National Championship. #GoBruins
Some clips, like the “Barr Exam” sack of Matt Barkley never get old. Kinsley Washington’s walk-off single may just be another one of those clips. Either way, it’s just awesome:
What a way to win the National Championship! Kinsley Washington is CLUTCH and walks it off for the Bruins!#WCWS | @UCLASoftball pic.twitter.com/hFm1q9895Z

Postgame thank-you’s from the team to all the Bruin fans out there are cool, too:

UCLA has wasted no time. Landmarks on campus have already been updated to reflect #118:
