The UCLA Women’s Basketball team has released its nonconference schedule.
This year’s schedule features five home games at Pauley Pavilion including a game against Michigan on December 11th as well as road games against Baylor on November 14th and against South Carolina on December 18th.
On December 4th, the team will host Hawai'i in a rematch of last year's NCAA tournament first round game.
The team will participate in the Cancun Challenge at the Hard Rock Hotel Riviera Maya on November 24th and 25th where they will face Iowa and Toledo. On December 14th, the team will travel up the coast to face UC Santa Barbara.
In a press release on the official site, Women's Basketball coach Cori Close commented on this year's nonconference schedule. Close said:
Our philosophy is and has always been to give our women the opportunity to be challenged and measure themselves against the best teams in the country. It has paid dividends for us and our conference as the Pac-12 was rated the No. 1 conference in the country last season.
