#15 UCLA Women’s Basketball Closes Out Regular Season At Arizona State

The Bruins face the Sun Devils one last time in the 2016-2017 regular season.

UCLA Coach Cori Close will probably try to get her starters some rest today.

UCLA faces Arizona State in the last regular game of the season. They defeated the Sun Devils in Pauley Pavilion last month and look for the same result today. The Bruins have had played well in their last three games and hope to finish the season with a win.

Friday night’s game against Arizona saw UCLA’s bench players getting more minutes, giving some of the starters some much-needed rest the weekend before the Pac-12 Tournament starts. It wouldn’t be surprising if Coach Cori Close does the same thing in today’s game against Arizona State since UCLA shouldn’t have much trouble with the Sun Devils.

While the Bruin defense has had their ups and down, Friday night was an up and, hopefully, they can repeat that today. Ashley Hearn had a big night with four blocked shots on Friday night before fouling out.

Of course, finishing the season with a win is the top priority today, but, with only one game left before the Pac-12 Tournament in Seattle, getting the starters some rest should be a priority for Coach Close today so they are fresh when play opens in Seattle next week.
