A little over a week ago, Monique Billings and Jordin Canada were selected to represent Team USA in the U24 Four Nations Tournament in Tokyo, Japan. The two soon-to-be seniors were two of twelve athletes who competed in the inaugural event against Australia, Canada, and Japan and helped Team USA win the Four Nations Tournament title.
Team USA opened the tournament against Australia winning 78-60. The following day, they comfortably defeated Canada 107-61 and had another three-digit win against host Japan, easily taking the title after winning 103-71.
Both Canada and Billings saw substantial action during the round-robin tournament. Against Australia, they each scored 4 points and each added 2 rebounds while Canada led Team USA in assists with 5. Against Team Canada, Jordin scored 9 points, had 2 rebounds and, again, led Team USA in assists with 5 while Billings had 5 points and 5 rebounds in just twelve minutes of action. In the final game against Japan, Canada scored 10 points and added 2 assists while Billings scored 8. The duo each had 4 rebounds in the game.
