UCLA Gymnastics: Meet the Bruins Open Thread

New, comment

For the first time this season, the UCLA gymnastics team will showcase what they’ve been working on since winning the national championship in April.

Today, the UCLA gymnastics team will take the floor for the annual Meet the Bruins intersquad blue vs. white meet at Pauley Pavilion, which will also be televised for the second year on the Pac-12 Networks. It will be the first time the Bruins have taken the floor since winning the 2018 National Championship in April.

This non-competitive event differs from a traditional meet in that each team will pick three competitors and one exhibition performer for each event. The competitor’s scores will be totaled to determine the winning team at the end of the meet.

Bruins to look for are 2018 NCAA Floor co-champion Katelyn Ohashi, former Olympic champions Kyla Ross and Madison Kocian, and 2018 All-Americans Felicia Hano and Grace Glenn. I’m personally excited for the floor event, which is always a massive dance party for both the gymnasts and the fans alike.

This is your Meet the Bruins open thread.

Go Bruins!
