Women’s Soccer

The UCLA Women’s Soccer team easily defeated the SDSU Aztecs by a score of 5-0 last night in San Diego. Senior Forward Darian Jenkins scored what turned out to be the game-winning goal at 30:50. Jenkins added to two more goals in the next seven minutes and seventeen seconds to notch her first career hat trick.

The Bruins took a 3-0 lead into the locker room at the half, but they weren’t done. Sophomore Julia Hernandez and senior Amber Munerlyn each added insurance goals in the second half.

Munerlyn’s goal was highlight reel stuff as she passed the ball to herself with her heel prior to scoring the final goal.

Men’s Soccer

On the men’s side, the UCLA Men’s Soccer team will open their season next Friday against Maryland. UCLA announced that the teams will play in the 2016 NCAA Men's Soccer Kick-Off Classic and it game will be played at the Stub Hub Center in Carson, CA which is the home of the LA Galaxy of MLS.

This will be the second time UCLA opened the season against Maryland at that building. The two teams met there in 2008.

Go Bruins!!!
