Bruin Bites: Fleming Scores Two To Power UCLA Women’s Soccer Past Sun Devils

Also, CBS Sports profiles the Rosen family and some football recruiting news

@UCLAWSoccer

Good morning, Bruin fans! Let’s look in at the latest UCLA sports news this Friday morning.

Women’s Soccer

Bruin freshman Jessie Fleming may or may not be the best player in women’s college soccer right now, but she is certainly one of the most exciting.

Fleming scored two goals last night in the first eight minutes of the game to lead the Bruins past Arizona State in the team’s conference opener.

In addition to Fleming, UCLA dominated the first half as Arizona State was unable to get a single shot on goal during the first half to the Bruins’ nine shots on goal.

The second half favored ASU more as the Sun Devils got their offensive working, but Bruin goalkeeper Teagan Micah made five saves to seal the shutout.

Here are the game highlights:

After the game, Fleming spoke with Pac-12 Network.

Football

CBS Sports has an interesting video profile on Josh Rosen, his family and his upbringing. It’s definitely worth taking a few minutes to watch.

Recruiting

Finally, today, speaking of football, UCLA offered four-star 2018 WR Marquis Spiker of Murrieta Valley.

The junior already has 28 catches for 509 yards and seven touchdowns through just four games so far this season.

Go Bruins!!!
