UCLA Women’s Soccer
The NCAA Women’s Soccer Tournament bracket was announced yesterday. The UCLA Women’s Soccer team was seeded second in a quadrant that includes a #1 seed North Carolina, a #3 seed Virginia and a #4 seed Princeton.
The Bruins will host San Diego State in a First Round game on Friday, November 10th at 7 pm PT.
In other Women’s Soccer news, redshirt sophomore Annika Rodriguez has been named the UCLA/Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week for her performance against Southern Cal. Rodriguez scored the equalizer to tie the game and then had an assist for the game-winner in overtime to lead the Bruins to victory.
UCLA Men’s Basketball
Aaron Holiday has been named to the Lute Olson Award watch list. He is one of 40 players in the country to be named to the list. The award honors the top Division I player who has played at least two seasons.
In other Men’s Basketball news, the team has arrived in China for the 2017 Pac-12 China basketball game. The team opens its season there on Friday night against Georgia Tech.
UCLA Women’s Basketball
Jordin Canada is one of 20 players who have been named to the 2018 Nancy Lieberman Award watch list. The award recognizes the top point guard in women's NCAA Division I college basketball.
