This evening, the UCLA Women’s Soccer team plays in the second National Semifinal game of the NCAA Women’s College Cup when they face the Duke Blue Devils.
The winner of this game will face the winner of Stanford-South Carolina. That game begins at 2:00pm today on ESPNU.
While any time the Bruins have a chance to win another NCAA title in any sport, it’s important. Today’s Bruin game will take on a little bit more importance if Stanford wins the first game due to the fact that a Stanford-UCLA title game will break the tie the two Pac-12 schools have for the most NCAA championships. Both currently have 113 titles and a game between the Bruins and the Cardinal would give the winning team 114 titles.
But, that’s getting a little bit ahead of ourselves as UCLA must defeat the Blue Devils tonight in order to advance.
