This afternoon, the NCAA announced the 64-team field for the NCAA Women’s Soccer Tournament.
The UCLA women’s soccer team has earned the #2 regional seed in the North Carolina quadrant. As a result, the Bruins will face the San Jose State Spartans this Friday at 6 pm PT in a First Round game at Wallis Annenberg Stadium on the UCLA campus.

Assuming the Bruins will, UCLA will also host the Second and Third Rounds next weekend.
As a #2 regional seed, the only potential road game UCLA would play before the College Cup begins would be if the #1 regional seed North Carolina Tar Heels advance to the Quarterfinals.
Four other Pac-12 teams also made the 64-team field. Stanford is one of the four #1 regional seeds while Southern Cal was selected as a #4 regional seed in the Florida State quadrant. Arizona is in the bottom half of the Stanford quadrant and wouldn’t face the Cardinal unless both teams make the Quarterfinals. Washington State is in the Georgetown quadrant and could play UCLA in the national semifinal if both teams advance that far.
The Bruins will be seeking UCLA’s 117th NCAA Championship. UCLA trails only Stanford, which has 117 NCAA titles.
Go Bruins!!! Bring home NC #117!!!
