Colorado comes to town tonight to face the UCLA Women’s Volleyball team at 6pm at the John Wooden Center.

The Bruins are riding a four-game winning streak which has also seen the team rise from #20 to #12 in the AVCA Top 25 Poll.

During the current winning streak, freshman Torrey Van Winden has been on fire. She had 31 kills and a .455 hitting percentage last week, which earned her Pac-12 Freshman of the Week honors, just a week after being named the Offensive Player of the Week the previous week.

The Buffaloes are led by sophomore Alexa Smith who is averaging 3.15 kills per set and Gabby Simpson is second on the team with 2.56 kills per set. Defensively, senior Cierra Simpson leads the Buffs with an average of 3.44 digs per set.

Tonight, Taylor Formico will pass Samantha Shaver for third on UCLA’s all-time digs list if she notches only two digs since she is just one dig behind Shaver. She will likely finish her UCLA career in third place since Lainey Gera is in second place with 2,009 digs and is probably too far in front of her at this point in the season.
