UCLA Women’s Volleyball Earns #10 National Seed, Will Host First Two Rounds of NCAA Tourney

The Bruins will play Murray State in their first round game on Friday night at 8pm PT.

UCLA’s portion of the 2016 NCAA Women’s Volleyball Tournament bracket.

The 2016 NCAA Women’s Volleyball Tournament bracket was announced tonight. UCLA has earned the #10 national seed and will host the first two rounds of the tournament for sure.

The tournament has a new format this year where, rather than pre-determining where the third round and quarterfinals will be played, those will be determined by who the highest remaining seed is.

As a #10 national seed, the Bruins would need win both their first and second round matches and UNC to lose either of their first or second round matches in order for UCLA to host the next round.

If UCLA should make the Final Four, they would face the winner of the right side of the top half of the bracket, which is the side that #6 Stanford is on.
