UCLA Women’s Volleyball Returns Home Against Washington State

The UCLA Women’s Volleyball team hosts its first home game tonight against the Washington State Cougars.

@ncaavolleyball

It’s been a great start to the season for the UCLA Women’s Volleyball team. They’ve gone 10-1 through 11 games to kick off the year.

But, what may be more remarkable is that they did it all on the road.

And, now, that comes to an end tonight when the Bruins return home to Pauley Pavilion to take on Washington State.

While the Cougars are not ranked in the AVCA Top 25, the Bruins cannot take them lightly. On Wednesday night in Seattle, the Cougars knocked off #4 Washington three sets to one to bring WSU to 11-2 to start the season. That moves the Cougars to 2-1 against ranked teams so far this season after they had previously defeated Kentucky but lost to #10 Purdue.

Of course, UCLA has pretty much always owned Wazzu. They are 53-7 all time against them and they have won the last 26 matches against them. Overall, UCLA is 18-2 against them in Westwood and they have won 18 in a row at home.

Tonight, Taylor Formico can move up the UCLA all-time dig list again. She now has 1,215 at UCLA and, with only 20 digs, she will pass Jenny Evans for seventh place all-time.

If you’re heading to Pauley for tonight’s game, please be advised that, like at the Rose Bowl, the new Clear Bag Policy will be in effect.
