After last Friday’s loss to Washington State, the UCLA Women’s Volleyball team dropped three spots in this week’s AVCA Top 25 Coaches Poll and the schedule doesn’t get any easier this weekend.
Tonight, the team is in Salt Lake City to take on the Utah Utes who have won seven in a row. The Utes are ranked 25th this week after they defeated #16 Colorado last week.
Junior Adora Anae leads the Utes with an average of 4.76 kills per set while freshman Bailey Choy is averaging 8.85 assists per set.
In order to win this match, the Bruins will need to make fewer errors than they did against Washington State, in general. More specifically, they need consistent play from Reily Buechler who had a hitting percentage of 0.091 against the Cougs.
Senior Taylor Formico needs just 30 digs to move into 6th place on UCLA’s all-time digs list.
