The UCLA women’s volleyball team plays its final road game of the regular season this morning when they take on the Arizona Wildcats at 11 am PT in Tucson. Today’s game will be broadcast live on Pac-12 Networks Los Angeles and Arizona.
Last Time Out
The Bruins defeated the Arizona State Sun Devils, 3-1, on Friday night in Tempe. Mac May led the Bruins with 19 kills while Jenny Mosser added 15. Kylie Miller helped out with 35 assists and Devon Chang was also in double digits with 10. Meanwhile, Zana Muno had 25 digs and Savvy Simo had 11. The win moves the Bruins into a tie for sixth place in the Pac-12 standings with Arizona and Colorado.
Arizona Wildcats
The Arizona Wildcats are ranked just above the Bruins at #24 in this week’s poll. Arizona cannot be underestimated today, even though UCLA swept them at home last month. The Cats have won ten of the fourteen home matches this year, only losing to Washington, Washington State, Oregon and Southern Cal. Can the Bruins become the fifth team to win at the McKale Center this year?
Outlook
Simply put, UCLA must win this match. The regular season is winding down and the Bruins need a win over a Top 25 opponent to make sure they earn a spot in the postseason because their conference record of 8-9 isn’t particularly impressive. To have a winning conference record, the Bruins need to win all of their remaining Pac-12 matches.
But, today’s match probably won’t be easy.

Go Bruins!!!
