UCLA Women’s Water Polo Sweeps Doubleheader, Plays Two More Today

The Bruins defeated #10 Pacific and #15 Indiana yesterday. Today, they play #8 Michigan and #11 UC San Diego.

The UCLA Women’s Water Polo team swept their doubleheader yesterday at the UCSB Winter Invitational. In the first game, the Bruins defeated #10 Pacific 15-4. Then, in the nightcap, they topped #15 Indiana 20-5.

Against Pacific, Alexis Angermund led UCLA with four goals while Maddie Musselman and Rachel Fattal each added a hat trick. Alys Williams had two goals and Kodi Hill, Devin Grab and Alexa Tielmann each scored one.

Against Indiana, the Bruins tied their season-high in scoring with 20 goals. In this game, Musselman led UCLA with four goals. Bronte Halligan scored her first goal of the season en route to her first hat trick while Williams and Lizette Rosenbloom both added hat tricks of their own and Fattal had her second hat trick of the day. Tielmann, Angermund, Hill and Kelsey O’Brien each scored one goal.

Today, UCLA completes their play at the UCSB Winter Invitational with another doubleheader. This morning, UCLA faces #8 Michigan at 10:20 am PT and, later today, they play #11 UC San Diego at 3:00 pm PT.
